...so far!
In the beautiful, scenic town of Dingle, Co. Kerry, Ireland is where Roisin began chasing her irresistible and obsessive love of colours, textures and fabrics. She developed her interest further and found that she had a seemingly natural aptitude when working with fabrics. She embarked on the process of refining her skills in Galway Technical Institute studying Fashion and Design where she created a portfolio of work which resulted in her becoming a finalist in the prestigious national fashion competition, 'The Golden Egg Fashion Innovation Awards'. From there and due to the body of work created, she was offered a place to study in the highly regarded Limerick School of Art and Design(LSAD) where she was then granted the opportunity to study Fashion Design. Her graduate collection was then shown at Official Graduate Fashion Week London. By this time she had worked under the leadership of the wonderful Savile Row trained master tailor David Young and in the Sample Room for the multi award winning, highly acclaimed and esteemed fashion designer Anna Sui in New York, USA. Due to Roisin's dedication she graduated, proudly, with a First Class BA(Hons) in Design(Fashion).

She embarked on a career in film where she worked on large productions for Apple TV, Skydance, MGM Amazon, Disney and finally on the Hollywood blockbuster 'Cocaine Bear' for ABC Universal as Draper, Assistant Model Maker and Sculptor with the most talented team led by the legendary Dave Flynn, the ultimate curious genius. She continued her work and training in locations such as Pinewood Studios UK, Damn Fine Print Dublin and The Grafton Academy of Fashion Design Dublin giving her the opportunity to hone her skills further.

She has counted herself immensely lucky that her career in the fashion and film industries so far has taken her to various locations such as Limerick, Wicklow, Wexford and further afield to London, New York and onwards to Malta in a very demanding solo draper role in film. Having then completed work where she had been invited to rejoin the core team located in Fuerteventura, her work took her back home to Dingle where she established 'Roisin Ni Loingsigh Live Printing and Printed Apparel', her next exciting chapter.

Through her engagement with the local community in Dingle she was honoured to be commissioned by the globally renowned 'Dingle Food Festival' to follow a brief, resulting in the creation of her first independent installation. Following that work she was invited to collaborate with another hugely famed arts and music festival 'Feile na Bealtaine' to facilitate a very successful and exciting live printing weekend for festival goers.

Whilst working with fabrics and print in her workshop in Dingle, Roisin is a successful member of Limerick Printmakers where she has sharpened her skills enough for RTE contributor, Aine Ni Chiobhain, to have compared her to the infamous and truly amazing Andy Warhol. Roisin has found that she is entirely and positively obsessed with fabric and when working with such, becomes utterly immersed in the flow of creativity especially when combined with printmaking.
Roisin is interested in the psychology of overconsumption in fashion. She has a great love and gratitude for clothing. She is in favour of taking very good care of the clothing that one owns and being able to keep that collection of garments looking and functioning beautifully for decades. She would love to share a little of this ethos with those she meets along her journey which brings her to this chapter where she begins to share her knowledge of fashion and fabrics with others.
As an aspirational thinker, Roisin hopes to continue living out her dreams and to see what else she can do with her one wild and wonderful life. This is her current dream, one where she is honoured to invite you along to join her!
