'Daite'

This project documents the designer’s explorations into the poetic and technical world of fabric dyeing. She has created and engaged with this process of dyeing work both professionally and in her own experimental studio practice. From natural indigo to experimental cyanotypes and more, her work investigates the interaction between fibre, pigment, light, and time.

Led by instinct and curiosity, her process includes test panels, tonal layering, and immersion techniques. The dyeing work stands as both visual research and tactile experimentation—an evolving conversation with materials. By embracing unpredictability and learning from traditional dyeing practices, she pushes the boundaries of surface design, layering memory, environment and material science into cloth.
