'Foundation' Season 1

Roisin worked as a Draper for the Set Decoration Department on Season 1 of Foundation, a major sci-fi television series produced by Apple TV+ and Skydance Television. Her role spanned three international studio locations and evolved significantly throughout production.

At Troy Studios in Ireland, she joined a fast-paced, high-volume team during an intensive period of filming. She collaborated closely with multiple departments such as Art, Props, Set Dec, and Production both on location and in studio. She was responsible for several standalone drapes projects, managed set dressing tasks involving extensive use of fabrics and contributed to standby duties. Her work required strong technical skills, cross-departmental communication and adaptability under pressure.

Following this, Roisin was selected to take on a solo Draper role at Malta Film Studios where she led all fabric-based set decoration for the Malta shoot. In this role she worked independently, reported directly to the on-site Set Decorator and liaised regularly with the Head of Drapes in Ireland. She oversaw the creative and technical execution of all fabric work, managed materials and directed supporting crew members when necessary.

She was then invited to rejoin the core team in Fuerteventura, Spain, to assist with the final stage of production. Across all locations, the work involved large-scale embroidery, heavy fabric manipulation, quilting, draping, upholstery using a variety of fabrics inch case such as lace, hessian, leather, and other specialty materials. The role demanded constant problem-solving and collaboration with senior crew members including the Production Designer, Art Director, Assistant Art Directors, Prop Master and Head of Construction.

This project refined her ability to work at scale, under pressure and in dialogue with high-level creative direction, while developing her expertise in textiles, set dressing, and team leadership.
